Widtom privacy

Only the details
Widtom needs.

You can request an invitation and try the demo on this site. The demo does not connect to your ChatGPT account, iPhone, or widget. People we invite use the separate Widtom iPhone beta app.

When you request an invitation

We save your email, permission to contact you about the beta, that you requested the iPhone beta, and the first widget you describe.

Links from ads can tell us which ad brought you here. We save that information with your request and mark our own tests separately.

Ad-link and test details

Campaign values are stored as utm_source, utm_campaign, and utm_content. Visits marked widtom_qa=1 use internal_qa as their source so we can exclude our tests from campaign results.

When you use the iPhone app

You can sign in with ChatGPT. We use a site-specific account identifier to keep your widget separate from other people’s. Your email is shown during sign-in but is not saved in the Widtom account record. You never need to share an OpenAI API key or your ChatGPT password with Widtom.

We store the information needed to connect your iPhone, show your widget and send updates you approve. We also keep your widget designs and change history. If you enable automatic updates, the connected assistant can refresh the content you approved without another Apply. Permission continues until paused, except older grants that retain their original limits. We store that permission, any applicable expiry, the supplied source labels and links, and each saved update. Calendar widgets may retain supplied events and their time zones. If you use personal routines, we also store your routine definitions, explicitly reported completion or skip history, and saved reminder preferences. Those preferences alone do not create reminders. You can pause updates; a separate ChatGPT schedule supplies the information. Widtom does not store your full ChatGPT conversation.

Connection and widget details

We store your device name and platform, a hashed device-access token, and a push notification token and service when automatic refresh is enabled. These connection codes let the app identify your device and send updates.

The assistant connection stores OAuth client details, hashed authorization credentials, proposed and approved widget specifications, revision history, and operational audit records. For widgets with generated images, we also store the image request, its text description for accessibility, and the generated image.

Visitors to this website cannot access beta app records. We keep saved designs and account records while you use Widtom, until you delete the account or the records are replaced or expire. Personal routine occurrence history is bounded to 90 days from its date or recent activity; future plans cover up to seven days.

Images you bring into Widtom

When you ask Widtom to use an image from ChatGPT, we download that file, check its format and size, remove supported metadata, and send the image to OpenAI for a content-safety check. We store the image privately with your description and proposed widget design. Importing does not generate another image.

We do not save the temporary ChatGPT download link or original filename. Import records contain a request hash, status and proposal reference so retries do not create duplicate drafts. The image is not applied until you approve its widget preview. Images and their descriptions are not sent to PostHog or advertising platforms.

How we measure site use

We use PostHog to count a limited set of actions so we can understand how people use the page and demo. Those counts can include the page visited, which ad brought you here, whether it was one of our tests, and that an invitation request was for the iPhone beta.

PostHog does not receive your email, widget request, form text, conversations, account credentials, phone data, or widget data. We do not use its automatic click/form recording or session recordings. Widtom does not use a PostHog cookie or browser storage to recognise you on a later visit.

Measurement details

Allowed event labels include the page route, Widtom product label, deployment environment, test marker, UTM values, and iPhone platform label. PostHog autocapture and session replay are off. Analytics use temporary page memory.

Optional Meta ad measurement

The beta form has a separate, unchecked choice for Meta ad measurement. Leaving it unchecked does not affect your request or invitation. Meta’s pixel only loads after you opt in and your request saves successfully. We respect the Global Privacy Control browser signal by keeping it off.

If you opt in, we tell Meta that a Widtom iPhone beta request was saved, with a random event reference. Meta can also receive your IP address, browser information, a dedicated measurement-page address, ad-click identifier, and its cookie identifiers to connect the request to an ad. This is advertising measurement, not anonymous analytics. Meta may process the information under its own privacy policy.

We do not send Meta your email, widget idea, other form text, or customer-matching details. Automatic form tracking and advanced matching are not used. The pixel runs in a separate document that contains none of your form answers, and our internal tests send a separate test event, not a lead.

We save your choice and the version of this consent with your beta request and its timestamp. The checkbox is never remembered as permission for later visits. You can leave it unchecked next time, and use your browser’s cookie settings to remove cookies already set. This cannot undo an event already sent; contact us below with questions.

Why we keep this information

Invitation details help us run the iPhone beta. Site-use counts show us where visitors stop. App information connects your account, keeps your current widget and its change history, and updates the devices you have connected.

Delete your Widtom account

In the Widtom app, open Account → Delete account and confirm. You do not need to contact support. This deletes your Widtom account link, saved designs, artwork, previews, version history, personal routines and connection records, and disconnects all devices and assistant connections.

The app removes its local widget and confirms when server cleanup has finished. If a connection or image cleanup is interrupted, it shows that deletion is pending and lets you retry. Other devices may still display cached widgets while offline; connected updated apps clear them when they next learn that access has been revoked.

We retain a minimal security record of the retired internal account identifier to prevent old requests from restoring deleted data, plus a time-limited recovery credential hash for interrupted deletion. This record contains no widget content, images, email or conversation. Signing in again creates a new, empty account.

Deleting Widtom does not delete your ChatGPT account, conversations, connected-provider records or ChatGPT scheduled tasks. Stop unwanted tasks in ChatGPT. Invitation requests made separately on this website are not linked to the app account; contact us to remove those.
